MANILA, Philippines – Although she sees her brother, President Noynoy Aquino, and Thailand Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra as a potential romantic pair, Kris Aquino clarified that she isn't playing Cupid to the two.
"Ang kapal naman ng mukha kong mag-reto," she said in a recent interview posted on abs-cbnNEWS.com.
The ever-outspoken TV host-actress made headlines anew after she tweeted about attending a luncheon at Malacañang last Jan. 19 for the first official state visit of the Thai prime minister in the country. A part of her tweet on Thursday afternoon read, “She's tall & slim & attractive! 44 yrs old, bagay for PNoy!”
She even researched about Shinawatra's supposed current relationship status.
"Ginoogle ko habang naglu-lunch, chineck ko. Eh nakita ko, single so this is it! I-unite na natin ang Philippines at Thailand," said Aquino in her interview.

A report on Interaksyon.com referred to Shinawatra as a “single mother.” A profiling by BBC News back in August, meanwhile, stated that Shinawatra is married to businessman Anusorn Amornchat, with whom she has a son.
Aquino, in the same abs-cbnNEWS.com report, related the qualities she admires most in the Thai PM.
“I was just impressed with her, kasi ang ganda-ganda, elegante, may bearing. Sosyal naman 'yon na ang Presidente ng Pilipinas at Prime Minister ng Thailand, parang na-unite na tayo. Atin na ang lahat ng rice sa buong world… and ang ganda ng kutis [niya], kasing kutis ko," she enthused.
The “Kris TV” host excitedly recalled how her elder brother introduced her to Shinawatra.
“Sinabi niya (PNoy), 'Do you know my sister is always in your country… to shoot her commercials?' Tapos parang she wasn't aware na the shampoo TVC capital of Asia is Bangkok and all the skin care products ay doon din shinu-shoot. Tapos sabi niya 'really why is that?' Tapos sinabi ko, 'because you give tax breaks and maybe he should,' tapos tinuro ko [si PNoy].”
Aquino then told Shinawatra that she flew to Bangkok five times last year, and expressed her deep appreciation to the country’s people.
“Sabi ko, 'I love Bangkok, I love the people, I love working with Thai people.' Tapos sinabi niya sa akin na 'next time you come let us know, so we can take care of you.' Feeling ko naman ang sosyal-soyal ko, 'yung Thai Prime Minister [ang nag-invite]," she added.
While she apparently has a lot to say about PNoy and prime minister Shinawatra, the Kapamilya star only spared a few words on the personal life of her estranged husband, James Yap.
The star cager is once again being linked to actress Isabel Oli, after they were purportedly seen together during the Sinulog Festival in Cebu, according to a separate report on abs-cbnNEWS.com.
“May kanya-kanya na kaming lives. I think everybody deserves a chance at happiness. Happy naman ang life ko, so madaling maging happy for others,” said Aquino.
Last year, Oli and host-dancer Gab Valenciano admitted that they’re in a relationship. Prior, both Oli and Yap denied their special affection for each other.
