Software maker Autodesk Philippines, in collaboration with channel partner Challenge Systems and the Philippine Green Building Council, recently conducted a “Green Thought Leadership” event to highlight the need to implement Building Information Modelling (BIM) for sustainable building in the country.

In the event, Autodesk principal consultant Chow Jin Ho reiterated that BIM is not just about a software or a process, but more importantly a platform to initialize sustainable building.

“Adopting BIM to green (building) is an initiative to build a better ecosystem,” he explained.

ProdigyAE chief BIM consultant and principal architect Gio Carino explained the benefits of sustainable building and how vital BIM is in the initiative.

“Green design is about compliance to the philosophy of economical, social and ecological sustainability. BIM is an enabler of sustainable design,” Carino explained.
