MANILA, Philippines – The second Sarah Geronimo and Gerald Anderson-starrer, “Won’t Last a Day Without You” reportedly grossed 20 million pesos nationwide when it opened on Nov. 30.
“Happy December! And happy sasa-gege! We made P20M yesterday for #Won'tLastADayWithoutYou! Congrats! 2nd day today, nood na! :)” Star Cinema Advertising and Promotions Manager Mico del Rosario announced on his Twitter account Thursday morning.
“Sobrang laki na po ng 20m parang filmfest na po yan,” he wrote in a separate tweet, adding that this has been the onscreen couple’s “biggest opening to date.”
In comparison, Sarah Geronimo and Gerald Anderson’s first flick, “Catch Me… I’m in Love” released in March this year earned 15 million pesos on its opening day, according to Star Cinema's Booking and Distribution Department.
Meanwhile, Geronimo expressed her gratitude for all the support “Won’t Last a Day Without You” has gained during the premiere night on Tuesday.
“We're very happy and overwhelmed kami sa suporta ng mga tao. So maraming salamat po. Sana ganito rin bukas," Geronimo was quoted as saying in an abs-cbnnews.com article on Nov. 30.
She continued, “Para po sa kanila (fans) itong pelikulang ito. Sana po maibigan nila. Maraming salamat sa pagmamahal at sa suporta.”
More, the usually conservative Geronimo reportedly had all eyes on her when she arrived at the premiere in a “daring” number – “a short spaghetti strap dark blue sequin dress with a see-through mid-calf hemline,” according to the same abs-cbnnews.com story.
