Jericho more private today than yesterday

MANILA, Philippines — Matulis, Matalas: With his colorful background in the relationships department, Jericho Rosales very well fits the category, matulis, matalas. The line also describes his new endorsement, Vantage Razor, which hosted a media event in Quezon City recently.

Jericho has romanced just about every beautiful leading lady in town: Kristine Hermosa, Cindy Kurleto, Heart Evangelista, Cesca Litton.
These days, the 32-year-old actor would rather keep his love affair as private as his walk-in closet. There is a reason for that. Echo’s seeing regularly a girl not from show business.
Claiming that he wants to do more work in 2012, Jericho thanked Kris Aquino and Lovi Poe, who both proclaimed their admiration for him in recent interviews. The two ladies said they were looking forward to doing movies with him.
Lovi realizes her dream ahead of Kris as she plays opposite the actor, who has been her childhood crush, in Regal Films’ all-star drama, “Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow,” which screens at the MMFF starting Dec. 25.
At the “matalas” event (Vantage Ace 2 razor boasts of being double-bladed), Jericho spoke of actualizing his dream to direct a feature film in 2012. He admitted he was inspired by a recent crash course in acting which he took up at the New York Film Academy.
The actor will be seen soon on teleserye “Padre de Familia,” which also stars Piolo Pascual and Christopher de Leon.
Star News: Cagayan Rep. Jack Enrile has tapped showbiz radio host Jobert Sucaldito in mounting a series of shows in the province in the wake of calamities brought by massive flooding in the area.
One show that Jobert could probably recommend for staging in Cagayan and everywhere around the country is “Aawitan Kita,” the live musical show staged monthly by Armida Siguion-Reyna at the University of Makati in Makati City. A highly relevant show that deserves widespread staging across the archipelago, “Aawitan Kita” has just been through a successful multiple-city run in the United States.
We think it’s a cultural show that must be witnessed by all Filipinos, and not just by Cagayanons. Rep. Enrile, a nephew of Tita Midz, can perhaps spearhead the nationwide run of “Aawitan Kita.”
