im Tebow barely tops Tony Romo for most overrated player

According to SportingNews.com, Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was two votes away from being their 2011 most overrated NFL player.

The website recently conducted a poll of 111 players from 31 teams and most overrated player was one of the questions.

Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow earned the top spot, receiving 22 votes in the poll where players were not allowed to vote for one of their teammates.

Romo was second with 21 votes and Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez was third with nine. Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was next with six and Titans running back Chris Johnson and Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco each received five votes.

Jaguars defensive tackle Terrance Knighton went on record in the story, stating that he voted for Romo.
“I just think he’s in a position where he has the spotlight,” Knighton said. “I don’t think he’s really done anything to be in the spotlight. But being a Dallas Cowboys quarterback, you’re going to have that. I don’t think he does enough to be considered one of the elite (quarterbacks) in the NFL.” -Dallas News
