Derek Ramsey (2nd from left)
MANILA, Philippines — We joined the recent media road trip to Tagaytay Highlands and had a fun day (despite the inclement weather) with Derek Ramsay, Star Cinema’s newest box-office actor. The actor was with two young nephews and he took care of them like they were his own sons. Practicing to be a father? We kidded him.
The road trip was in line with the “See Places” campaign of EastWest Bank auto loan whose endorser Derek, is known for his passion for cars and sports. An avid car collector, he has about six
cars which he restored and are now in perfect running condition. No, he won’t sell any of them.
“Going on road trips is my way of relaxing, getting to know my land and bonding with my cars,” Derek said. “I love travelling and taking road trips. It opens my mind and let me experience new things. I’m the kind of guy who enjoys the feel of the wheel in my hands. I listen to how the car responds with every turn and bump,” he said.
Derek has driven to as far as Banaue to see the famed Rice Terraces, and Donsol to see the famed whale sharks and down south to indulge in some scuba diving.
Derek recently graced the launch of EastWest auto loan’s promo where qualified loan applicants get free gas up to P50,000. The promo ends on Nov. 30 but the bank’s ongoing “Dream Big Win Big” raffle promo, auto loan applicants continue to earn raffle points for the chance to win huge rewards until March 31, 2012.
About scoring huge movie hits (“No Other Woman” which grossed P300-M and “Praybeyt Benjamin”), Derek remains humble saying “suwerte lang siguro.”
