MANILA, Philippines – One of the suspects in the murder of aspiring actor Ram Revilla has been identified by authorities as Ryan Montinola Pastera (previously referred to as alias “Bryan”).
Pastera, who is still at large, was allegedly the one who paid suspect Michael Nartea P19,000 as downpayment to kill Ram Star witness Ruel Puzon said he saw the actual transaction.
A photograph of Pastera is in the custody of police.
In the photograph, Pastera is with Ram’s sisters Gail and Ragene Bautista, and Ragene’s husband only identified as Hero.
Task Force Ramgen called on Pastera to voluntarily surrender to authorities.
Ramona misses deadline
The hearing on the preliminary investigation of Ram’s sister Ramona Bautista, another suspect in the murder, has been reset to November 25 at 2 p.m.
Ramona missed the deadline set by assistant city prosecutor Leah Roma on November 18 to personally file her counter-affidavit,
Her sister Ragene filed the counter-affidavit in her place.
Ramona left for Turkey last November 4.
However, latest reports from the Interpol in Ankara, Turkey said Ramona left Turkey on November 5.
The Interpol confirmed that Ramona, who is married to a Turkish national, is a resident of Pinartepe, Naalesi, Istanbul, Turkey.
The arraignment of Ram’s brother Ramon Joseph, tagged as the mastermind in the murder, was earlier reset to January 2012.
Ramon Joseph and 6 other suspects were charged with the murder of Ram and frustrated murder of Ram’s girlfriend Janelle Manahan.
Suspects Glaiza Visda and Norwyn dela Cruz voluntarily surrendered to police and applied to become star witnesses in the case.
Police declined to comment on the suspects’ applications.
