MANILA, Philippines -- The name evidently says it all: Triumph International is 125 victorious years into the business of the female form, and still going strong. To celebrate, Triumph International Philippines Inc. joined Philippine Fashion Week with a collection
showcasing the brand’s signature versatility and variety.
Headlining the retro-glam show were Shape Sensations, the brand’s take on the ubiquitous shapewear trend. The nude and black torso huggers, maxi panties and padded bras feature elastic tulle for both fashion and comfort.
The Sexy Cushion Maximizer bra series, with  Memory Cushion molds, seemed to make good on their promise to both shape and support, even as the models stomped and sashayed. For those a little on the conventional side, the colors (red and lavender, to name two), bikini-brief bottoms, and classy lace detailing should be just the right amount of style.
Valisere, Triumph’s lingerie brand, upped the laciness factor as a means to sexiness. Dainty embroidery, lace-satin combinations and negligee add-ons aided in the same purpose, and tastefully.
Triumph began as a tiny corset factory in Germany in 1886 and is now one of the world’s leading underwear manufacturers. Triumph International global head for governmental relations Kenneth Marshall, who was on hand to open the show, said the company has always stood for “making women feel confident and beautiful in everything they do.” All signs point to mission accomplished.
Also under the Triumph International umbrella are the Sloggi everyday and HOM men’s lines. -Manila Bulletin
