Another baby born at airport

MANILA, Philippines — The Ninoy Aquino International Airport seems to be turning into a favorite birthing place for expectant mothers following the second birth of another baby at the terminal in a span of one month.
Last November 1st, Michelle Raz, a Roxas City bound passenger gave birth inside the aero-
bridge just before stepping inside the Cebu Pacific airplane.
Early Friday morning, 31-year-old Cherlyn Rojo gave birth to a baby boy at the waiting area of the NAIA Terminal 2.
Roja and her cousin, Richie Ann Hernandez, were waiting for the check-in counters for their Ozamis City flight to open when Roja began experiencing labor pains.
Richie Ann immediately asked for help from airport authorities with Airport Police officer Lito Mutya responding to the scene. Mutya radioed the command center to alert the NAIA medical staff who immediately rushed to the scene.
Emergency personnel led by Dr. Josefina Tria checked on Rojo and assisted her in the delivery until she gave birth to a baby boy.
After giving birth, Rojo and her new son were immediately rushed to the Pasay City General Hospital.
He noted that New Year among Filipinos is one of the most eagerly awaited occasions, which has turned into a tradition for all.
